Monica Moore, APRN

Monica is a board-certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN) licensed in Connecticut, with certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

She brings nearly two decades of specialized experience in reproductive medicine to her work at Illume Fertility, where she's been an integral part of the team for over 20 years.

Before joining Illume Fertility, Monica served as donor nurse coordinator at the Atlanta Center for Reproductive Medicine and began her career in reproductive endocrinology at the Cornell Center for Reproductive Medicine and Infertility.

Monica's approach centers on treating the whole person, not just their fertility diagnosis. She partners with patients to integrate comprehensive wellness strategies (including yoga, acupuncture, massage therapy, and nutrition) alongside medical treatment.

She emphasizes the critical connections between weight/body mass index (BMI), mind-body wellness, and stress management in the fertility journey.

Decades of Leadership

In 2010, FertilityAuthority.com recognized Monica as "Nurse of the Month." She has contributed extensively to the field through published abstracts, articles, and book chapters.

Monica chaired the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) Nursing course in 2007 and received the IVP Care Professional Patient Education Grant in 2004.

As a founding member of the Advanced Nursing Network, a committee within the Nursing Practice Group, she helped establish a national network for nurses in management and mid-level positions.

Her work focuses on polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), donor oocyte program optimization, nurse manager education, and innovative patient teaching methods. She's passionate about mentoring nurses and staff members at every opportunity.

Monica earned both her undergraduate and graduate nursing degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, where she was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, the international nursing honor society.
