Jessica Sasko is one of Illume Fertility’s Patient Navigators, helping patients with all their immediate needs during their family-building journey. She started in 2013 as a Medical Assistant before transitioning into her new role. She is a people person through and through, and her goofy, outgoing personality keeps coworkers and patients smiling and laughing all day. She is passionate, dedicated, and fully invested in her patients' care and loves helping others in and out of her work to achieve a stress-free way of life.

We got your back. At Illume Fertility, we recognize that there are a million questions zooming through your head, so we want to make this as simple a process as possible. In fact, many of our own staff have been through fertility treatment and know exactly what it’s like to be a patient. We know where, when, and how you best need support.
That’s why we came up with the team system - an individualized cohort of professionals dedicated to your success. Traditionally, a fertility clinic offers you access to a primary fertility doctor, but you are not assigned a team that’s dedicated to your journey. You will see, speak to, and hear from different nurses, appointment managers, and other staff at any point in your care, ultimately limiting your access to resources.

We want this to be as personal and fluid a process as possible. This team is your number one resource for any of your care needs. They are your go-to people, your best fertility friends, and your biggest cheerleaders.
In addition to their communication with you, the team meets daily to discuss your journey and makes sure everything is on the right track. So, you see, we uphold our “patient-centered care” mentality when you’re around and when you’re not; there is constant work going on behind the scenes to make sure your journey is a top priority.

Your fertility team is designed to care for your specific family-building journey, from ovulation induction to IVF. Whatever your goal, our team is here to help you get there.
And as you’ve figured out by now, fertility treatment has its own language. This team is put in place to teach you the language and help you every step of the way.
When you set up your first appointment with us, we assign you a unique set of professionals that are collectively in charge of your journey. Each team consists of the following:
These are staff members who serve all our patients and will be in contact with you at some point in the process…whether it’s genetic testing with our Genetic Counselor, a pregnancy scan with our Physician Assistant, or laser acupuncture with one of the members of our IFW team. But more on that later!
How does each member of the team “teach” our language? Let’s take a look!
Your Reproductive Endocrinologist
Every patient meets with their own doctor at their initial visit. Our board-certified doctors are intelligent and witty, and they each truly take the time to listen to your thoughts, fears, and questions.
This person will serve as the team leader, steering your journey toward your end goal. They will be in charge of your care, suggesting the different, optional pathways. They will offer their expert advice and diagnosis so that the rest of the team can help you implement it.
They are the principal on your first day of school who will introduce you to your “friends,” AKA your TEAM of people!
Your Fertility Nurse
One of our amazing nurses will be your main point of contact. Think: homeroom teacher. Working closely with the doctors, day in and day out, our nurses will help teach you the BIG words and will always know your particular situation at any given time.
Our nurses take the time to teach, listen, and be there for you whenever you need, while consistently keeping you updated on your bloodwork results (including providing you next steps based on those results), protocol directions, medications, and anything else medical that you need.
They are here to help with any questions you may have, and if they do not know the answer, they will find it!

Your Medical Assistant Team
Our medical assistants at each of our five locations are experts in helping you navigate each appointment and procedure. Think of them as your "class buddy" - the friendly, welcoming faces who help you feel comfortable in a new environment and show you the ropes.
Each time you come in for an appointment, whether it be routine morning monitoring or a big procedure, our medical assistants are the ones who will bring you back from the waiting room, guide you where you need to go, offer support and answer questions about what to expect that day and so much more.
And, bonus: they're pros at quick blood draws!
Your Fertility Insurance & Billing Advocate
We’ve made it to math class! Our informative, intelligent, and hard-working finance team is always here to help you understand what is coming next, financially. They break down the cost of each test, procedure, and visit and make sure you’re never faced with a surprise bill.
You will stay informed of pricing and coverage, every step of the way.
As with your nurse, your financial representative also has their own direct line and direct email.
Your Very Own Patient Navigator
“The Hall Monitor.” A navigator’s role is exactly what it sounds like…to help monitor your cycle and help you navigate your way through it from start to finish.
Another main point of contact, they are here to help schedule your next appointment, find an answer if another team member isn’t in, and hold your hand and lead you in the right direction throughout the day.
Being in contact with your Navigator is just as easy as contacting your nurse and financial representative. Each is given a direct phone number and email for your access.
Besides reaching out to a member of your team for information, a calendar of events goes out each month explaining how to contact these individuals directly.
