Introducing Fertility Expert Dr. Barry Witt
We are thrilled to announce the addition of Barry Witt, M.D. to our award-winning team of board-certified reproductive endocrinologists serving Westchester and Fairfield Counties.
Prior to joining Illume Fertility, Dr. Witt practiced reproductive medicine at Greenwich Fertility in both New York and Connecticut, helping individuals and couples achieve their goals with his more than 30 years of expertise in the field.
His joining of the Illume Fertility physician team reflects his continued commitment to serving hopeful parents in the area through diagnostic and therapeutic fertility care.

A History of Expertise in the Field
After a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at Tulane University School of Medicine, Dr. Witt has held successive academic appointments at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, NYU School of Medicine, and Yale School of Medicine.
He directed the Donor Oocyte Program at Montefiore's Institute for Reproductive Medicine & Health, where he was also Program Director for IVF.
In addition, Dr. Witt served as Medical Director for Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) at Greenwich Fertility for numerous years, as a physician at the NYU Fertility Center and later, at Yale.

Over his distinguished career, Dr. Witt has received many awards and honors and has published numerous scientific articles in his specialty.
He also serves on several national committees.

Get to Know Dr. Barry Witt
As an expert in reproductive medicine who has helped build countless local families, Dr. Witt looks forward to the holiday season each year, knowing he will receive cards and updates from many of the grateful parents he has worked with.
"It used to be pictures of babies, but now it’s pictures of 20-year olds who are going off to college," says Dr. Witt. "It’s obviously incredible to help bring a life into the world, but in the long-term, it’s about creating human beings who are going off to impact the world."
What inspired his career?
Dr. Witt feels that working in reproductive endocrinology is both personally and scientifically rewarding, and enjoys the fast-paced, ever-evolving nature of the field.
"Obstetrics has been around for millennia, but reproductive endocrinology is much newer and cutting-edge," he says. "I enjoy being a part of the dramatic improvements we have made over the years in terms of in vitro fertilization, genetic testing, and fertility preservation," he says.
On his future at Illume Fertility:
"I am honored to join the talented team at Illume Fertility, and I look forward to continuing to serve both Westchester and Fairfield Counties with a high level of personalized, state-of-the-art care," says Dr. Witt.

Dr. Witt will begin seeing patients at Illume Fertility in January 2024. He will be based primarily out of our Norwalk and Stamford, CT locations, and our Harrison, NY location.
